I am home from college for the summer, and this has left me with a surplus of time. There is only so much shopping and laying out at the pool I can handle, so I have taken up other time-filling activities. These include but are not limited to: cooking, cleaning at times, reading, closet organizing, reality TV watching, and painting. Painting is one of my favorite hobbies, as I discovered it relaxes me and fills time with ease. Today I will share the works of art I have done since I've been home. I'm not quite sure what to do with them...but at least putting them on the Internet in the hopes that someone will see them makes me feel like they serve some purpose other than to save me from complete boredom. They are not the most amazing works of art, and they are all quite different, but I do enjoy incorporating abstract elements and an abundance of color in these acrylic pieces.

This very simple painting was inspired by the cover of the June 2011 cover of J.Crew Magazine
This painting, quite different from the rest, is inspired by a scenic marsh
